Horseshoe Crab Moon

Horeshoe Crab Moon is an independent film that will be broadcast on Public Television and then be available for distribution to the educational market.

Horeshoe Crab Moon follows the scientists and researchers as they study the decline of the Horseshoe Crab along the East coast and the crash of the Red Knot, a globe trotting sandpiper whose numbers have dropped nearly 80%.

This is an inspiring story of the scientist and field biologist's successful efforts to connect an ancient ecosystem with the interconnected relationship of the moon, tides, Horseshoe crabs and sandpipers.

Mitchell Smith of MediaSmith Films provided all cinematography, audio and post production services and wrote and performed the original musical score.
